The municipal council adopted the draft of the new urban plan on April 14. Deputy Mayor Dominique Laverdure said: “We are proud to be able to present to you the results of several years of work, including analysis, consultation, drafting and feedback. It’s a lot of work, it’s quite a document, but I invite you to read it and then give us your feedback.”
The 229-page document includes eight strategic axes: Natural Environments; Housing; Mobility; The Downtown Sector; The Village Sector; Route 117; Recreational Tourism; Infrastructure and Public Investments. This plan is a very important step for the future of Mont-Tremblant, and we look forward to working with the Ville to ensure that future development is carried out in a responsible, harmonious and well-integrated way, in order to preserve (and even enhance) the character of our town.
Les Amis are currently reviewing the large document. The Ville will hold public consultations before finalising the urban plan.
To allow citizens to comment on the proposed regulations, the Ville should prepare an executive summary of the main changes.
