Municipal council summary

The following measures were approved at the municipal council meeting on May 12:

Project and image plan approval: The Ville has used provincial Bill 31 to authorise the development of six buildings of eight units each on rue Anne-Désirée-Godin. An information session will be held at City Hall on June 2 at 5 p.m.

Image plan study approved under conditions: 17 single-family homes on rue Émond.

A briefing will be held at City Hall on June 9 at 5 p.m. regarding an omnibus bill:

At the former site of Gray Rocks Ski Resort (now owned by the Ville): to change the zoning from residential to recreational. Les Amis strongly supports this initiative.
Rue de l’Aulnaie (near rue Latreille and route 117): to authorize a new residential building with 35 units.
Les Amis support this new and improved process:

The Ville will now publish photos of minor exemption requests before the elected officials vote. Photos for the next council meeting on June 9 are not yet ready; we will include them in our next newsletter.

Staff Update:

Deputy Mayor Dominique Laverdure mentioned that the Director of Urban Planning, Mme Geneviève Demers, will leave her post on May 16.
